Proper respect goes out to Daniel J. Lewis of The Audacity to PODcast. He has taught me to make production quality recordings before the first PODcast is made. That is what has encouraged me to acquire high quality audio recording components first off, rather than have the first episodes be of low quality and the production to improve quality over time. I realise that people will be paying for this work and they deserve better than a cheap low-quality product. I am an audio technician at a Christian church, so I have learned hands-on in making quality recordings. I have grown a great fondness for nice gear. The people behind this PODcast have really great gear. It has taken several years to acquire all of the hardware and there is still more to purchase. It can be quite scary having a tight budget and buying the hardware, knowing that you are short on cash. In the end it will be worth it. Of the $40 USD per season price for this PODcast, 25% ($10 USD) will go to charitable causes, %25 ($10 USD) will go to the producer (myself), and the remaining 50% ($20 USD) will be reinvested. These figures do not take into account the pay for the interviewees, nor the hardware, nor the services; all of which will occur before the PODcast is publicly released. It is fun making a high-quality production that people will enjoy.
